-Twilight's Tower of Tribulations-

Twilight's Tower of Tribulations is a Game designed by VioletLinked. The game is based around old-school nes games such as megaman with it's single-screen gameplay and difficulty. In the game you play as Twilight, after receiving a letter from Princess Celestia to stop discord and find the 5 gems of peace. You venture out into 3 worlds, Equestria, a evil base, and the Tower itself. Many obstacles will stop you along your way-- Spikes, Saws, and even clouds. Will you be able to stop Discord and save the day? Quick note: If the game boots up and has a save error, reset it (close and reboot). DO NOT play the game in the zip or this WILL happen. Extract the game to your desktop before playing.

As a heads up, I recommend playing this with the D-pad and buttons on a Xbox360 controller. Use a program like Joy2Key and pair up the buttons and the game will feel 20% more nostalgic.

My inner masochist thanks you. My space bar does not.

I admit I cheated a little and used the secret level jump- but only after reaching the checkpoint only to fall to my death twice. That aside, this is the best gamemaker game I have ever played. I enjoyed it so much my left thumb is now slightly bruised. There were a couple tiny tiny problems I had with getting stuck in clouds. Otherwise a really fun platformer!

Dear Celestia! Finally did it! This game? The same difficulty as Megaman? No... this rivals IWBTG's difficulty, and that's saying something! Anyways, really awesome game. The only thing I kind-of found frustrating was the stiff and jerky controls. Of course, that's my gripe for most any NES game, so you successfully brought that out in this game. I found a grand total of 2 glitches in the game, one of which was already stated above. One of them, and this didn't affect the game at all really, but if you jumped while Twilight was facing one direction, then started moving in the opposite direction she was facing while still in mid-air, she will keep facing the initial direction she was facing during the first jump until she lands. The other was the "Getting stuck in clouds" glitch, and that was already addressed above.

A tad TOO difficult for my tastes, but I can't fault you for that, I suppose.

Thank you for the Comments! @ Cara Citrine I'd say It's Megaman's difficulty. IWBTG's difficulty is based off of bull-shit traps. Megaman was fair, but you have to act and think fast and be very skillful to advance. IWBTG is all memorization. @firekirby I'll spill a secret to you... Your numpad can really help you. @TerminalHunter Sorry about the bugs, I was in a bit of a rush and wanted to make an actual game instead of 'some-one-level-prototype-thing'. My game (unlike the others) has a story and a way to beat the game with a proper ending.
